Madeup Cakes

Made Up Pancakes!

My son just loves pancakes, the sugar free ones :)

I made these up by experimenting in the kitchen .... just throwing things together in a bowl and they came out lovely.

I like to use organic ingredients as much as I can, as it is healthier.

Ingredients ~

One cup of organic spelt flour.

One cup of orgainc oats.

Half cup of wheat germ.

Quarter cup of organic Cocoa.

Quarter cup of coconut bits and sesame seeds.

Two organic eggs.

Pour in the milk on top of the eggs and dry ingredients in the bowl ... I like to use organic almond milk ... stir while you pour until you get the right consistency ... not too thick and not too watery .... you will know : )

Shallow fry them in olive oil ... until nice and brown on both sides.

Here is the finished result .... they actually taste nicer than they look! lol

Beat The Sweat ~ The Homemade Way

Did You Know ~

Deodrants and antiperspirants
contain many bad chemicals which are very harmful to the human body ... for example one of the bad chemicals are Aluminum-based compounds ...

I decided not to flood my body with such horendous chemicals anymore, so this is what I have made as an alternative Deodrant/antiperspirant which is all natural with no bad chemicals and so much healthier for you.

It is simple and easy to make.

Here is the ingredients
~

A cup of organic Coconut Oil.

A teaspoon of Arrowroot Powder.

A teaspoon of Bicarbonate Soda.

30 drops of Tee Tree essential Oil.

30 drops of Lavender essential oil.

Mix all together and keep covered in a clean bowel.

Finished product in container ... I used an old washed Marmite jar, it did the job perfectly! :)

Use everyday as required.

I find this recipe works ... I exercise alot, so my home made deodrant is tried and tested and works very well.

If you do not feel like making your own ... you can buy your very own natural deodrant/antiperspirants here.

Ginger and Spice and All Things Nice

A wee Tip!

Not only can Ginger help alleviate nausea, it can help protect you against heart attack as it contains ginerol.
Ginerol is like aspirin in it's chemical structure so it helps to thin the blood thus helping to protect one from heart attacks.

Include ginger in your cooking for example in your soups, curries, stews, bread etc, etc.
I love adding ginger when juicing fruit and veggies, a great and yummy way to get ginger straight into your system quickly :)

A Story of a Day in My Life ...

A story of a day in a life ....

Going to the gym is something like a walk in the rain ... to feel the drops of sweat falling of your brow like rain drops... to lift heavy weights and push them so hard on the Leg Press .... I am trying not to stay on a plateau where all feels comfortable and easy ...afraid to push myself incase I injure myself ...no more of that!

I am starting to gain muscles at last ...years of trying ... but now I know better .... balancing my weight training with my cardio training and good nutrition and plenty of water.

I feel so much better since I am wearing my Ionic Balance Band ... not only has it helped my tennis elbow go away for good ... thank goodness, I had it long enough. My Ionic Balance Band has also given me lots more energy ... I feel like my old self again ... I am also sleeping much better also.

I went to FitSteps tonight ...it's a great class, created from Strictly Come Dancing on t.v. .... the instructor is excellent at her job .. she is a great motivator and dancer herself and gets us all going ...looking forward to the next class! :)

I will be updating more reviews of classes I enjoy in later posts.

Over and out! :)
